Welcome to Kriva Palanka, town located in the northeastern part of North Macedonia and surrounded with beautiful Osogovo Mountains and landscapes.
We absolutely adore talking about the beauty of nature and our mountains!
Did you know that we have checkpoints located on some of the highest peaks in the area? It's true! As most interesting points we have Ruen, Carev Vrv, Kalin Kamen and Cupino Brdo. And the views from up there are simply breathtaking. But that's not all - we also have stunning lakes nestled within the mountains, and the cleanest river running down surrounding the lush greenery and wildlife. And speaking of greenery, the history of the area is rich with stories of how the natural landscape has been preserved and protected over time.
Another must to see check point is our fascinating Osogovo Monastery with centuries of history.
At It's truly a magical place to explore and connect with nature.
CHECK POINTS.
The peak is situated on the border between North Macedonia and Bulgaria. It is the highest peak of the Osogovo range, standing at 2,252 m.

Carev Vrv is second highest peak of the Osogovo range, standing at 2,084 m. At the peak you can enjoy the breath taking views and explore the historical ruins of military hangars.
At an elevation of 1.884 m, Kalin Kamen is situated amidst stunning lakes, lush forests, and an abundance of wildlife. The region offers numerous possibilities for outdoor activities, making it an ideal destination for adventure seekers.

4. OSOGOVO MOUNTAIN RIVERS, LAKES AND FORESTS
North Macedonia is a land of lakes. The landscapes here, which are mostly mountainous, are ornamented with breathtaking mountain rivers, forest waterfalls buried in the dense forests, clear and cold mountain lakes. Life, in all its forms, thrives in a place like this, from rare species to marvelous green landscapes.
5. OSOGOVO MONASTERY
Osogovo Monastery is a Macedonian Orthodox monastery located near Kriva Palanka, North Macedonia. The monastery consists of two churches including the larger "Saint Joakim Osogovski" and the smaller "Holy Mother of God." Near the monastery you can experience the caves where the Saint Joakim Osogovski spent his life. Founded in the 12th century this monastery connects the history and the nature of this place.
6. CUPINO BRDO
At an elevation of 1.662 m, Cupino Brdo is situated on the border between North Macedonia, Serbia and Bulgaria. Surrounded with small villages, Cupino Brdo is place with rich historical stories.
